Runes of Magic

When I first moved to this area mid last year, I started playing Runes of Magic. It was one of those times that took me back to when I used to play World of Warcraft years ago. When my husband gave me his former gaming machine full-time, it was a welcome change from using a laptop that had difficulty playing the game. However, I have only just put the game on the new computer. Why? I was waiting for the new expansion to come out for a few months so that most of the bugs could be sorted.

And boy, did that three month wait make a difference!

No longer do I get irritated whenever I gather materials or make stuff. The interface is brighter and shinier. I also get to play an elf character now, with the new class options of Warden and Druid. The expansion has also dealt with a crapload of other stuff as well.

For those of you that aren’t already aware, Runes of Magic is a free-to-play MMORPG, with free download. It has been referred to as “the best WoW clone I have ever played” by a few of the people that have reviewed it, including one of my best buddies that lives in Logan. This is right on the money, as a lot of the graphics and games controls are pretty close to that of WoW. That being said, I think it can stand on its own two feet as the world is in a constant state of flux.

You can get more bling by playing for diamonds, but even these can be purchased for large wads of cash within the auction house. Diamonds do pay off however, in that you can buy permanent mounts for your character. You can also purchase 30 day mounts in the item shop using 14 days worth (1400) Phirius coins. Guilds are another thing that can be purchased using diamonds. There are also things called Rubies, that are also used for buying stuff in the item store, but these are given as a bonus from other purchases. You have more options in the Rubies section, but Diamonds open a bunch of stuff up for the player. The only problem is that I don’t have budget to purchase diamonds as yet.

Recently,  started playing on the new PvE server in the North American zone, Palenque, and welcome you to join me in the big adventure. I am currently playing Phillia, an elven warrior / druid. Plans are in the works to play a male elf rogue / warden, probably with a suspect name, such as Phallic. Yes, this is a sign of just how childish I can be, but I like it like that. Anyway, I hope to see you guys there sometime soon.

Coin Operated Game

Are you the owner of the bar, house manager, or recreation center manager looking for a way to increase revenues, attract new customers and keep them happy? Waiting rooms or large open areas can often be somewhat monotonous, since the line or waiting for appointments. By installing one of many types of games in your company you will be happy customers and generate a small income. There are small and simple games such as pinball and Pac-Man, or more, such as games, poker or pool.

When a coin operated pool tables in the bar will be a successful way to gain customers, as well as money. When people go to the bar for socializing is not’t just to dance. Many buyers will play pool with people they meet, but also demonstrate that better. By effectively giving its customers more things to do, you’ll see that the more frequent the premises. If you manage a home or school areas you may want to install some games. Can be bought relatively cheaply from many sites and in stores. Air hockey is popular among the younger generation, as well as shooting games. It may very well get solid play these people at once! Recreation centers have different types of activities that take place simultaneously.Anyone who goes to the recreation center is not’t want sports. Having one or even two different coin operated games will attract less physically active customers, or even younger children who are dragged along with their parents. There is no reason to have at least one coin operated game in your company. Your customers, and employees will find enjoyable and thank you for this.

Favorite Instructables of the Week

Slim pickin’s today, but there are still plenty to keep you busy this weekend.

Pallet Sled

Make a Sled Out of a Pallet
My Mom is going to love this one! She’s been trying to make a good sled for firewood for a while now, and her latest idea includes using a pallet. I’m definitely going to print this one up for her!

Programmable Bracelet

A Programmable Bracelet
When I first saw this I thought “Okay, why? What does it do?” Luckily the author mentioned a few things one could do with this little bracelet with flashing lights. My favorite is to use it as a timer, particularly when you may not want something noisy (the author suggests using it when giving a presentation – it tells you when your time is ending soon). What a wonderful idea! (I’m terrible at keeping within the time when I give presentations.)

Homemade Clothing Label

Make Your Own Clothing Labels
All right! Why spend good money for those silly little “Handmade by Grandma” tags (if you go into a fabric store, you should be able to spot a pamphlet to order the things), when you can make far cooler ones? Now if I could just figure out how to label my lace items… (Anyone have any ideas?)

Invaders Cookies

Invaders Cookies!
Okay, I’m terrible at the game, but these cookies I can do. My favorite part? Versatility! I can use the little squares idea to make any pixelated picture. I could even use many different food colorings to make it more aesthetically pleasing. Hmm, I wonder how big a cookie I could make…
